* Beginning in 2005-06 state funding for Penn State's line item appropriations for Medical Education, the Central Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute and the Children's Hospital were eliminated. These funds are now included as State and Federal Medical Assistance funds available to the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. These funds are provided through the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare.
